- Tenses yang digunakan ialah simple past tense
- Biasanya menggunakan kata kerja aks (action verb)
- Menggunakan kata keterangan (adverb) dan frase keterangan (adverbial phrase)
- Menggunakan konjungsi (conjunction) dan penghubung waktu (time connective)

Ialah teks yang disusun guna menerangkan cara melakukan sesuatu melalui tahapan-tahapan. Bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan atau membantu pembaca untuk melakukan sesuatu dengan langkah-langkah yang benar.

Generic structute dari procedure text, yaitu :
Goal
berisi penjelasan tentang apa yang akan dibuat atau dicapai
Material
berisi tentang bahan-bahan atau perlengkapan apa saja yang digunakan untuk membuat atau mencapai sesuatu
Steps
berisi tentang petunjuk langkah yang dilakukan secara berurutan guna mencapai hasil yag diinginkan
Conclusion
berisi tentang kesimpulan dari keseluruhan langkah yang telah dilakukan

Then, wash our lips by using clean water and dry with soft tissue. |
